”SPRING BREAK PROJECT” (THE 4 THEORY’S)
Differential Association theory is the idea that people learn how to act by the envirement that they are raised in.This theory is true.If you go around,you would see why people act the way they do.It’s because of their surroundings and their neighborhood.Most but not all people show evidence for this theory.If someones envirement has a positive,respectful character they will be a positive and positive,rectful behavior.Thats what differential theory basically is.For example, if a 5yr older has been gettin raised in a clean,nice and respectful community,it is a possibility that they will become to be that way.You can see clearly that this theory is true for many people
The strain theory is another idea that trie s to explain why people become deviants.The strain theory basically says that people become deviant when following the rules don’t pay off.For the strain theory,their are 5 reactions by people to possibly become deviant.The 5 reactions are the confirmist,innovaters,ritualist,retreatest,and rebels.The goodest one is the confirmist and the baddest one is the retreatest.I am a confirmist,based on this theory.Confirmist are people who follow the rulesof nsociety(sucessful or not)they will continue to make the right choices.For example,some people may go to schooland follow all laws.but because of tgheir problems ocurring in their life,they do’nt become sucessful.This theory can be true,but not for everyone.This theory is true because do act as this theory in reality.will take place.The labeling theory is another idea that says if people are told they are deviant enough,they will become deviant. Te main idea of the broken window theory is that if there are signs that the community is not tooken care of,more crime and deviance will occur.Basically,this theory means that if a community is a dump people won’t give a care about it.In the start of the 1980’s,police use this theory to try to arrest people`for minor problems.I agree with this thoery.It’s true.It is true for some people but not for everyone.Everyone nhas diffrent ways to show why and how they become deviant.This theory is actually based off of a test done in two different communitys.It was tested in”Bronx,NYcity and”Palo Alto,California.That was evidence that the theory had to be true for some people. The labeling theory was developed by Howar Becker in 1963.The main idea of the labeling theory is that if people are told something enough,they might beleive it and make it a reality.This theory may be true for a couple of people.For example,if a person is told that they are bad enough they might it and make it true.But this theory is also not true for everybody.It actually depends on their character.It does happen that way for people though.this theory ain’t true for me!
