”WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT”
The 13 Amendment took place in 1865.It was a law that said ”slavery was not allowed”.The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a landmark part of legislation in the U.S.that took away segregation in schools,jobs/careers,and public places.People like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King [speeches]helped the civil rights act happen.They helped end segregation laws.To me ”The 13 Amendment” is way important than the ”Civil Rights Act”.The 13 Amendment ended slavery.When slavery ended people [blacks] wern’t getting treated like trash or feeling less than human.They wern’t getting treated equal but it was better than being slaves.In slavery they were getting whipped and killed.In segregation,people [blacks] had the same things as whites but the dirty version,so it wasn’t as important as the 13 Amendment….
